Daughters of St. Veronica

The Daughters of St. Veronica is a new women’s ministry at St. Augustine's. The group is named for St. Veronica, who compassionately wiped the face of Jesus when He fell beneath the load of His cross on the way to Calvary. The group will model itself after the Daughters of the King, a group within the Episcopal Church that facilitates spiritual growth.

The biggest mission of the group will be to give the women in the parish an outlet for fellowship and having fun. The women in the parish do not have a lot of time together except for Sundays and the annual picnic, but a group like this enables the women of the church to get together more often and share time.

The purpose of the Daughters of St. Veronica will be to build a women’s ministry at St. Augustine’s that will focus on the spiritual needs of the parish as well as the spiritual needs of the women of the parish. The group does not exist “to do” for the church. That will happen by itself. Membership in the group is open to all women at St. Augustine’s.
